We hope to see you out and about at one or more of these fabulous events. Not only will this give us a chance to rehearse a bit and try out some new material, but we will also be working on some old chestnuts from the back catalog that we have not played live in many years (“I Love to Talk, if There’s Anything to Talk About” we’re looking at YOU!). Another really cool aspect of these shows is that several brand new acts featuring long-term friends and collaborators of ours will be premiering at the event. It starts with night 1 and the first show of Local Shadows, a brand new supergroup starring John Wilkins and Justin Bankston of Winslow and American Vodka fame, hooking up with James Alexander (Cinders, My Education) and Mark Nathan of the Heartless Bastards. On night two, we’ll have one of the first shows from Giuseppe Antonio Volpi’s (Primordial Undermind, Evil Triplet) new project Pyrethrum, as well as an appearance from Dave Norwood of the Gary’s new surf project the Spoils. Night 4 brings the debut of Mirrors, a new band from our old pal Steve Landry (Meat Truck, Girl Robots, Bahrain, etc.). This is gonna be a great time all round, and not only is it FREEEE but the Carousel closes at midnight, so you can get to bed at a reasonable hour and be up for work Friday. ANNNND…the Carousel is BYOB with beer, wine and setups for sale, so you can bring a jug of yer favorite hooch and save $$ on drinks.
cheers
yer pals at
ST 37
